MYSTERY AIR EXPLOSION
Over Melbourne
Scientists are trying to determine the cause of an apparent tremor that rocked Melbourne's suburbs early this morning.
From WERRIBEE .. MITCHAM to SEAFORD -- residents were awoken .. shortly after 3 o'clock.
ALSO:
A heavy downpour has fallen across MELBOURNE..with nearly a month's rain falling in about six hours.
The WEATHER BUREAU's RICHARD CARLYON says about 19 millimetres of rain has fallen on the city.
He says some northern and south western suburbs have had up to 25 millimetres.
